FAQs - The Lee Westwood Golf Academy

Will I receive any more information after I have made a booking?
Immediately after booking you will receive a confirmation email or letter. You will also receive further information in the post 2 weeks prior to an Academy giving you more details. There will also be a medical information form in this pack that we ask you to fill in and bring to day one registration.

Will you provide lunch for my child?
No please provide your child with a packed lunch.

What if my child doesn’t have his/her own clubs?
Please inform us of this during the booking process and then we will organise for your child to use some clubs throughout the 3 days.

Will my child be in a group with children of his/her ability?
Yes, that is why we ask you about your child’s ability on the booking form. We can also make necessary adjustments during the first day.

If I want to know how my child is getting on at an Academy, what do I do?
Any parent can ring our office on the freephone number 0115 973 1676 to make this enquiry. The office will then immediately contact our staff on site. Our office will then be able to report back to the parent.

Will you provide drinks and snacks?
Yes, however you are welcome to send your child with their own.

What should my child wear?
Each child should wear clothing appropriate for golf, including some wet weather alternatives. Every child should have 2 pairs of footwear, one for the course and one for clubhouse.

Where do you recruit your coaches from?
All our coaches will have been recruited from your local area. They will all be PGA qualified professionals and will have received information and a briefing from ourselves over our operating procedures.

What happens during 'Extended Hours', i.e. 8.30-9.30am and 4.30-5.30pm?
Your child will be supervised in these hours by our staff and will be able to watch a golfing DVD, do a golfing quiz or putt on the practise greens. However these are not coaching hours.

If the information you are looking for is not here then please do not hesitate to contact the office info@activatesport.co.uk or 0115 973 1676.
